Philpsophy of Education

In class we took a survey from the book that categorized you into four different categories; Perenilism, Essentialism, Progressivism, and Social Reconstruction. I scored the lowest in Essentialism and Perenialism. I got a 11 in Essentialism and a 13 in Perenilism.  I scored the highest in social reconsruction and Progressivism. I got a 18 in Progressivism and a 17 in social recostrustion. social recontruction is the idea about improving the world around us and making kids figur things out on their own sometimes. Progressivism is the the idea that students learn best by doing things then just by reading it from a text book.
