Group Six Presentation

Group six did their presentation on school governance. They handed out Anoka-Hennepins finances booklet. it was a really good visual as for their presentation. They also had us discuss what we think should be done about school funding issues, it was hard for any of us in the audience to think of a way to solve the problem. They talked about some alternatives to local control, and one that they brought up that I thought was very interesting, was insted of school boards, the Mayor of the city should be incharge and incontrol of the school district. They ended their presentation with talking about alternative schools, like private, charter and KIPP schools. At the very end they handed out a crossword puzzle with all the key vocab terms in the chapter they presented on. Overall I thought that their presentation was very well done and very informative.
